How i got here

Scuba diver underwater with arms extended, surrounded by blue water and bubbles, wearing a wetsuit, mask, and fins.

I’m a diver who got properly obsessed with the ocean before I got properly good at diving - even that’s a stretch.

I didn’t grow up on boats, I didn’t have some heroic “saltwater blood” moment, and I definitely didn’t descend from a lineage of freedivers. I just strapped a tank to my back, fell in love with what was underneath, and started to learn about the many fish that live there.

Since then, I’ve trained through Advanced, Rescue, Divemaster and Instructor - not because I wanted to be “the expert,” but because I kept finding myself in situations where everything was technically fine… and still completely chaotic. Those dives taught me more than any perfect, postcard moment ever could - and I probably enjoyed them more too.

I’m fascinated by the small stuff: the way currents behave, how different reefs feel, why some sites are magic and others are… fine. I care about coral, marine life, and diving with different people.

This isn’t a page to preach at you - I’m here to be real about what diving actually feels like.

It started as a place to share what I see underwater:

  • honest rundowns of tropical dive sites

  • stories that show the messy, funny side of diving

  • tips that feel useful rather than seeming like rules

  • and a few photos from what I like to call our big, salty, mildly chaotic swimming pool.

I’m not trying to build the biggest diving platform. I’m trying to build the most truthful one - for people who love the ocean, already dive, or are just curious about what it’s really like down there. I’ll also sprinkle in some sarcasm too…

If you’re into that, you’re in the right place.
